7-Eleven to Enter in India, Join Hands with Future Retail to Operate Its Franchise Outlets

7-Eleven® all set to enter in the Indian market. The brand has signed master franchisee agreement with Future Retail Ltd and will open its first store in India in 2019.

7-Eleven, the world’s largest convenience store chain and Future Retail joined the hand to bring and operate 7-Eleven stores across the country. The Mumbai-based Future Group has joined 7-Eleven, INC., the world’s largest convenience retailer as a master franchise to develop and strengthen the international brand’s network in India.

It is expected that the 7-Eleven marke its entry in India in 2019 with opening of its first store. Telling more about the alliance, Ken Wakabayashi, SVP & Head of International 7-Eleven, Inc said,

“This strategic relationship offers an excellent opportunity to bring 7-Eleven’s brand of convenience and its iconic products to the Indian consumer.” Kishore Biyani, Founder & Group CEO, Future Group added, “We are proud to bring this globally trusted convenience store to India and build new pathways together that will offer Indian customers greater convenience and choices, within their own neighborhood.” Through this tie-up the 7-Eleven is planning to enter in to the small-retail environment and bring greater convenience to shoppers. The Future Group will help the 7-Eleven to implement its business model successfully in India.

Currently internationally popular 7-Eleven has wide extended network with more than 67,000 stores including – USA, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, Mexico, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, China, Macau, Hong Kong, The Philippines, Viet Nam, UAE and others.
